MICRO-ENTREPRISE ET SECTEUR INFORMEL EN RD CONGO : ETAT DES LIEUX

Résumé En RD Congo, la grande majorité des unités économiques évoluent dans le secteur informel, soit 99,7% d’entre elles. Ce secteur a toujours coexisté avec le secteur formel mais cependant, il est encore très mal connu. En réponse à ce besoin d’information, le Ministère du Plan à travers l’Institut National de la Statistique a initié un recensement général des entreprises en RDC qui dresse un tableau assez détaillé des unités économiques existant sur le territoire congolais tout en ressortant certaines de leurs caractéristiques : la forme juridique, la taille, l’âge, la répartition du capital social, l’origine du capital, le chiffre d’affaires et la nature de la main d’œuvre. Cet article met en lumière l’ascendance de l’informel sur le formel et dresse un état des lieux de ce secteur en vue d’une possible migration vers une formalisation des unités économiques qui, dans une large mesure, sont des très petites ou micro entreprises. This sector has always coexisted with the formal sector but, however, it is still very little known. In response to this need for information, the Ministry of Planning through the National Institute of Statistics has initiated a general census of businesses in the DRC which draws up a fairly detailed picture of the economic units existing on Congolese territory while highlighting some of the their characteristics: the legal form, the size, the age, the distribution of the share capital, the origin of the capital, the turnover and the nature of the workforce. This article highlights the dominance of the informal over the formal and draws up an inventory of this sector with a view to a possible migration towards a formalization of economic units which, to a large extent, are very small or micro. businesses.
